On Wednesdays at windsurfin we was put into groups with qualified instructors, my instructor was Alex Griffis.

We was talked threw some basic skills for doing windsurfin in which was very interestingto know. We set upsome boards with sails for us to have a go on the water, first of all you get on the boardwhile listening to your instructor,I started off real well thinking I have to go out and come backin, knowing that I must not panic if I carnt do it as I was learning I would eventually get to do it without panicing.

There is a safety boat that is on the water at all timeswhich rescues you and your board safetly at the end of the session. We go into the club house for a debrief from all instructors the a trophy is handed out on a weekly basis to who is nominated, they keep for a week then return for the following week. We also get biscuits ans a drink in break time, thats when your instructor tells you to go in for them.

I am enjoying windsurfin a lot. This week at windsurfin I went out and learnt to do a 180% turn and I rescued myself and didnt need to have the rescue boat and it felt really good.

Im enjoying it very much now.

Hi my name is Jordan and I would just like to tell you about my hobby.

I love to go windsurfing at Barton on a Wednesday evening 5.15 to 8 ish. My friends Max and Emma was talking about it at school and how the T15 windsurfing club, so I asked if I could go along and see what it was all about.

And the next week I did and ever since have been interested. I look forward to going each week. I have been in my first competition and came 12th which I found great I have been doing this for a year now. I have all my own equipment and just enjoy meeting and learning different skills each week.
